Acting Attorney General, Siromi Turaga

50 cents a family was the soli allocated to the founding families who began the journey at Nasareci Methodist Church in Nepani 50 years ago to begin a journey of faith and courage.

This was shared by church member and Acting Attorney General, Siromi Turaga during the celebration of the Church's 50th anniversary today.

An emotional Turaga could not contain his emotions as he recalled the journey the church elders took to build the church and increase the church congregation.

He says what was sowed by the church elders are reaping rewards today with no debt recorded over the last 50 years.

Turaga says today they celebrate the achievements of those who have made the people of Nepani proud, those who hold public office, those who have represented the country in various sports and those who have moved abroad and continue to support the church.

He says the celebrations is a key reminder to other church congregation and faith based communities to strengthen their ties and help groom their members, families, youths and children live a life centered in Christ.
