The Chinese, Federated States of Micronesia, and Fijian nationals charged in three separate Rewa Street and Flagstaff drug bust cases took their pleas this morning after their matters were combined.

Josua Ravula, Peniasi Delai, Zhou Lan, Yu Yangfeng and Dai Ming Hui have pleaded not guilty, while Ginna Choi and Lagomarcino Baules are yet to take their plea.

It is alleged that on the 23rd of September last year, Ravula was found in unlawful possession of 42.295 grams of methamphetamine.

Choi, Baules, and Delai are alleged to have been found with 0.345 grams of methamphetamine.
Lan was allegedly found with more than $7,000, while Yangfeng was allegedly found with more than $9,000, believed to be proceeds of crime.

It is also alleged that Baules, on the 3rd and 9th of September, while being a visitor to Fiji, failed to comply with his visitor visa conditions and overstayed.

Defence lawyer for Choi, Shirley Tivau informed Magistrate Sufia Hamza that her client has a cyst in her right ovary and requires medical attention.

Magistrate Hamza requested the scan report before issuing any directive.

The matter has been adjourned to Monday.
