Five people were arrested last night in Narere after being found with 6 zip-lock bags containing white crystals.

Police say this was found after the raid was done.

They say they also uprooted 272 green plants believed to be marijuana at the Tacilevu farming area in Savusavu.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Operation Livai Driu says drug raids are being done every day with suspects arrested and charged.

Driu says they are also conducting raids in villages with the assistance of the Turaga ni Koro.

He says it is also encouraging to see that people are coming forward to assist police with information.

Driu says they will continue with its drug raids throughout this festive season to eradicate drugs.

He adds investigations continue
