46 young adults who once walked the streets, faced countless challenges, and struggled to survive can now earn a decent living after graduating with certificates in Barbering, Baking and Patisserie, and Tour Guiding at the Fiji National University, Namaka Campus.

Minister for Youth and Sports Jese Saukuru reminded graduates to learn from their experience, brace to overcome challenges, and move on with their new chapter in life. He says they have faced challenges and overcome them, and have learnt to persevere through difficult times.

Saukuru says as they move on from this chapter in their lives, he is encouraging each of them to remember the lessons they have learnt and the experiences have had.

The Minister says these experiences will shape who they are and how they approach the world, serving them well in the years ahead.

Saukuru also commended the effort by the graduates during the duration of their studies and says their progress shows their potential and highlights the positive impact of the training programs.

He says their achievements inspires all and demonstrates the importance of investing in youth skills development. Saukuru says these youths once faced challenges on the streets, but today, they stand as proof that resilience and opportunity can change lives. He says each youth who graduated had a story marked by struggle, perseverance, and an unwavering spirit that refused to be defeated and despite the obstacles they faced, they refused to give up on themselves or their future.

Saukuru also reaffirmed the Coalition Government's commitment to helping disadvantaged youth rise above their circumstances.
