4,545 inspections by FCCC on businesses since April

The Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission says they have conducted 4,545 inspections on businesses across the Central, Western and Northern Divisions since April 20th this year.

Of these inspections, 126 were conducted last Thursday where 45 inspections were done for stock and supply while 81 inspections were done for compliance of the COVID-19 safety measures.

They say since the implementation of COVID-Safe Business Operations Protocols by the Ministry of Commerce, Trade, Tourism, and Transport, teams from FCCC have been on the ground from 4th June, inspecting businesses for compliance to these protocols.

FCCC says a total of 1,134 businesses across the Central, Western and Northern Divisions have been surveyed since then.

They add they are continuing to provide assistance in normalizing sugar supply and is in regular communication with the Fiji Sugar Corporation and respective traders.
