Fiji Crop and Livestock Council continues to work with its registered farmer organisations to provide information and training to ensure sustainable livelihoods through access to market opportunities.

45 rice farmers attended the recent one-day planning and implementing contract farming training workshop in Dreketi.

FCLC CEO Jiu Daunivalu says the workshop also provided participating farmers with valuable information regarding the Rice Mobility Package.

Daunivalu says this is the result of the Fiji Development Bank and Fiji Rice Limited entering into a agreement that supports rice production through value chain financing.
