SODELPA General Secretary Lenaitasi Duru

SODELPA General Secretary, Lenaitasi Duru has confirmed that there are four people, including a senior executive on their resignation list and they could possibly join Sitiveni Rabuka’s People’s Alliance Party.

Duru says party member, Titilia Vuetaki is not one of the four on their list after Rakuka had made the announcement last week that she is one of his party’s founding member.

He says Vuetaki is one of the people that they are looking at and trying to make her do the honourable thing and resign and move across.

Duru says the issuance date of the Writ of Elections will be the deadline for all these movements.

The Party General Secretary has also highlighted that there are some concerns that the People’s Alliance may divide the iTaukei voters but they are confident that after 20 years, their base is solid and it is not going to be shaken easily.
