There are four new border quarantine cases of COVID-19 in Fiji.

The first two cases are a 42-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man who arrived in Nadi from India on flight GA8250 on 24th February.

The Ministry of Health says they were transferred to the isolation ward at the Lautoka Hospital and are in a stable condition.

The third and fourth border cases are a 12-year-old boy and a 55-year-old woman who travelled to Sacramento, United States and arrived in Nadi on flight NZ952 from Auckland on February 25th.

Both returned weak positive test results during routine testing in border quarantine and have no symptoms.

They are currently in the isolation ward at the Lautoka Hospital.

Fiji currently has seven active border quarantine cases of COVID-19.

We have recorded 63 cases since our first case on 19th March last year where 54 people have recovered while two people passed away.
