Four men, including two 18-year-olds, will appear in the Labasa Magistrates Court today, charged with their alleged involvement in a series of yaqona thefts in the Northern Division.

Police say the two other men are in their 20s and 30s.

A special task force was established to investigate the number of yaqona thefts in the Northern Division, focusing on four cases of yaqona theft from Viriqilai, Korotari, and the Labasa Market.

All accused persons were jointly charged with theft.

The four are also allegedly involved in similar cases from the Nabouwalu and Savusavu area of operation.
