A mother is in a state of shock after her 38-year-old son died tragically after he was hit by a vehicle along the Wailevu Stretch in Labasa last night.Magnesh Munesh Reddy had gone to do some loading work before planning to go fishing.His mother, Mati Mariamma, told fijivillage News that she first learned of the accident from a neighbour.She adds that Reddy was at his employer’s house and had spoken to her on the phone telling her he will be home soon.Mariamma says unfortunately, she did not get the chance to view her son's body before the Police took him away. Reddy is survived by a son. Questions have been sent to the police about the circumstances surrounding the accident.We are awaiting their response.
