Good news as about 35,000 passports will be arriving at the end of this month while, another consignment in January will take the total number of new passports received to 100,000.
This has been confirmed by the Permanent Secretary for Immigration Aliki Salusalu who says they are already working on getting the next 100,000.
He also confirms there are two printers at the Immigration office and both are operational.
Salusalu also says they are only allowing for 30 slots for passport application per day and are waiting for the next consignment to increase this.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Immigration is not accepting walk-in customers expect for medical, official travel, study, work and return of Fijian citizens and permanent residence holders.
