30 people arrested for breach of curfew last night

Majority of the people were drunk at the time of the arrest

Thirty people were arrested last night for breaching curfew restrictions which includes two juveniles.

Police Commissioner Sitiveni Qiliho says in the Southern Division two juveniles aged 13 and 17 years were arrested along the Kings Road near Muanikoso as they were found setting up cones along the road.

Qiliho says the Southern Division recorded majority of the cases, with nineteen reports.

The Police Commissioner says from the 19 arrests in the Southern Division, 10 were allegedly intoxicated at the time of the arrest.

Qiliho adds in the Eastern Division, all five cases were of those found drunk during time of arrest in Korovou and Nausori Town.

Qiliho says the Western Division recorded five cases whereby the arrests were made in Sigatoka, Rakiraki and Lautoka and three cases involved those found drunk.

He further says the lone case in the Northern Division involved an 18 year old student who was found walking around in the Labasa area during curfew hours.
