The Marist Brothers High School students who allegedly assaulted another student have reconciled with the victim.

The 18-year-old senior prefect was produced before Suva Magistrate Seini Puamau this afternoon while the court was informed that 2 other 17-year-old students were earlier produced in the Juvenile Court.

The 17-year-old boy who was allegedly assaulted accepted the students' apology without any condition.

The 18-old-student was charged with assault causing actual bodily harm.

The alleged incident occurred on the 29th of July at the school.

The 18-year-old and two 17-year-olds allegedly assaulted the victim after receiving information that he was seen smoking outside the school.

Magistrate Puamau told the senior prefect that he will have a prior conviction if he offends again.

She also told the student that he is not in a senior position to discipline another child and do something against the law.

She said that his parents send him to school to learn and not to bully and he should not take the law in his own hands.

Magistrate Puamau also told the boy to do unto others what you want them to do to you and told him to imagine if it was his younger brother in the place of the victim.

Meanwhile, investigators are looking for a 4th suspect who is also a student.

He allegedly assaulted the victim with a piece of timber.
