Vice Chair of Women Entrepreneurs Business Council, Sharyne Fong

The Vice Chair of Women Entrepreneurs Business Council, Sharyne Fong says the Council will not reduce the registration fee for the Women Invigorating the Nation Convention due to the expenses.

fijivillage News asked Fong if the registration fee of $500 for new members and $300 for registered members would be reduced as many struggling small businesses owned by women cannot afford this fee.

WEBC previously announced the Council will host the second Women Invigorating the Nation Convention on the 24th and 25th of March at the Grand Pacific Hotel.

Fong says the benefit of the convention is attending an excellent platform for learning and networking between women entrepreneurs and business leaders from the micro to corporate level.

She adds that women can consider it as a professional development opportunity or investment for their business.

Fong says that women who face problems can approach them or find sponsorship but the Council will not reduce the registration fee.

75 women have registered so far from the 200 expected.
