The Fiji Police Force has recorded 256 speeding offences and 14 arrests for drunk driving in the past 48 hours.

Police say the figures are concerning, as speeding and drunk driving remain the leading causes of road deaths in Fiji.

The Force has thanked the public for their support throughout a challenging year.

They are urging drivers to stay alert, obey road rules, and drive safely as the year comes to an end.

Police are reminding everyone that road safety is a shared responsibility.
