Two women were arrested yesterday over alleged burglary incidents in Nadi and Lautoka.

Police say two officers on beat patrol spotted one of the women acting suspiciously along Naviti Street, where she was questioned and escorted to the Lautoka Market Police Post for further investigation.

They say that following information obtained from the first suspect, officers tracked down the second woman, who was apprehended near Vitogo Parade.

Police say search of the two suspects led to the recovery of electronic devices, cash, and other items believed to have been stolen from properties in Nadi and Lautoka.

Both women remain in police custody as investigations continue.
