2 people arrested after allegedly breaking into a shop in Lautoka

Two people have been arrested after allegedly breaking into a shop in Lautoka last night.

The men allegedly used a pinch bar to break through the glass door but were disturbed by Police patrolling the city area.

They were apprehended half an hour later after being chased by Police on foot around the Lautoka City area.

The safe that was stolen has been recovered.

The Divisional Police Commander West SSP Surend Sami says Police presence will remain around Lautoka City and other towns in the division.
