Two more men have been arrested by the Taveuni Task Force, which was deployed to the island to identify those involved in yaqona thefts.
Police say the latest update brings the total number of arrests to seven, all allegedly linked to the thefts of yaqona on the island.
Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations, Kasiano Vusonilawe says that while investigations into the alleged groupings are ongoing, police are also working with stakeholders to curb the thefts by identifying the buyers and markets for the stolen crops.
