Two men will be produced in the Labasa Magistrates Court today in relation to two separate cases of obtaining financial advantage by deception.

Police say the first case involves a 24-year-old man who is alleged to have obtained $957 from the victim’s account on 10th October 2022.

They say the victim only came to realize the transaction had taken place after he saw that the said money was automatically transferred to a number he was unfamiliar with.

The accused is alleged to have withdrawn the money on the same day and used it.

The victim lodged a report at the Labasa Police Station.

Police say in the second case, a 24-year-old man from Bulileka is alleged to have dishonestly obtained $389 from the victim, after transferring the said amount without the victim’s knowledge.

He later reported the matter at the Valelevu Police Station.
