Tourists are coming to our shores in numbers as the cruise vessel, Queen Elizabeth from Southampton in United Kingdom arrived yesterday while another vessel, Costa Deliziosa from Italy arrived today bringing with it the excitement of tourists who want to experience Fiji.

Both vessels graced the Suva Kings Wharf in the last two days, and the tourists from both vessels echoed sentiments of joy as they enjoyed the Suva sunshine.

Alfred Gwilliams from Sydney, Australia who was on board the Queen Elizabeth says this is the tropical escape that he and his wife have been planning for.

Gwilliams says he was really surprised at how busy the people in Suva are, and he had done his research about Suva and wanted to visit Colo-i-Suva.

When questioned by fijivillage News as to why he wanted to visit Colo-i-Suva he said that he heard on board Her Majesty’s Vessel that during the last royal visit to Fiji, Prince Harry visited the Colo-i-Suva Forest Park where he unveiled a plaque marking Fiji's dedication to The Queen's Commonwealth Canopy.

Raven Pascual Bautista who works with the medical team on board the vessel, Costa Deliziosa, and hails from the Philippines was excited to be in Fiji with his partner.

Bautista says two thousand people were on board the vessel and he feels at home because Fiji reminds him a lot of his home in the Philippines, and the hospitality they have received so far is amazing.

He says he intends to visit Fiji again with his family and visit the beaches and hopefully enjoy some Fijian food.
