Mosese Ledua

A 19-year-old man who stole a mobile phone in Vatuwaqa last year has escaped a prison term and conviction as his 3-month sentence has been suspended for 2 years.

Mosese Ledua stole the phone on December 16th in Wailea, Vatuwaqa last year.

Ledua appeared before Magistrate Vinaina Diroiroi this morning.

Magistrate Diroiroi says as he is a first time offender and submitted a guilty plea at the earliest opportunity, he still has time to change his ways.

She reminded Ledua that he must decide his life today, change his ways, and that if he wants a phone, he must work for it and not take it from someone else.

Ledua, who was all smiles leaving court, has been released on a good behaviour bond, and if he reoffends within two years, he will have to pay $200.
