19-year-old Pepe Malani will be competing for the Miss Hibiscus 2024 title and will be represented as Miss Fiji Fashion Week.

Malani, is a first-year Environmental Science student at the University of the South Pacific, who brings a unique blend of academic prowess, athletic achievement, musical talent and community service to the prestigious event.

Malani’s journey is a testament to perseverance and dedication as she has excelled in swimming, securing numerous awards in both school and club competitions.

Her commitment to her community is equally impressive as she has volunteered with St. John’s Ambulance, where she learned the importance of helping others in times of need and has been actively involved in village community work, participating in clean-up drives and sustainability initiatives to improve the environment.

As the youngest of five siblings, Malani has always been inspired by her family's dedication to both sports and academics.

The Hibiscus Festival will be held from the 31st of this month to the 7th of September at the Suva Civic Foreshore and Suva Civic Centre.
