18 under 21 teams & 8 women’s teams to compete today in 45th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s

Eighteen teams in the under 21 competition and eight teams in the women's competition will compete today in the first day of the 45th Fiji Bitter Sapphire Marist 7s at the ANZ Stadium.

A $3,000 prize money is up for grabs in the under 21 competition while the prize money in the women's competition is $3,500.

Dominion Brothers are the defending under 21 champion and they will face Black Heron in the opening match at 8 o’clock this morning.

The Annandale Striders are the women’s defending champion and their first match is against Police Blue Diamond Eagles Women at 10.28 this morning.

The men's competition will kick-off tomorrow and 48 men's team will compete for the $10,000 prize money.

The total prize money pool for the Marist 7s is 47,000 dollars.
