Excitement is building as the countdown to the 16th Fiji Bitter Labasa 7s officially begins, with just four days to go before the highly anticipated tournament kicks off this weekend.

Tournament Committee member Joseph Koi says a few spots are still available and urges local 7s teams to register soon to avoid missing out.

Koi also confirmed that 30 spots for the Labasa 7s have already been filled, with more teams expected to join the tournament in the coming days.

A total of 40 men's teams are set to compete in the main cup competition, alongside eight women's teams in the women’s category and 16 U16–U18 teams in this exciting three-day tournament.

Teams in the main cup competition will vie for the $7,000 prize money, while the women’s category offers a $1,500 prize, and the youth grade will see teams competing for $2,000.

Teams interested in registering can contact Vika Vataniyaragi at 9464236 or Pateresio Racumu at 9104425.

The tournament will take place from this Thursday till Saturday, January 25, at Subrail Park in Labasa.
