A 15-year-old boy who was thrown off a horse hit by a bus along the Queens Highway in Serua yesterday has passed away.
Police say the incident occurred when the boy was returning to Korovisilou Village.
The bus which was carrying 15 passengers was returning from Suva.
Due to the impact of the collision, the horse died instantly while the boy was rushed to Korovisilou Health Centre where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the bus is in custody as investigations continue.
