15-year-old Elena Lovodua to represent Ba in Royal Tea Ranadi semi final

Elena Tubarua Lovodua will be the youngest player in the Ba team who will be the winger that will face Rewa in the Royal Tea Ranadi Trophy semi final this morning at the HFC Bank Stadium.

Speaking to fijivillage Sports, team manager Malakai Vukinavanua says Lovodua is 15-years-old and was selected after being spotted by scouts during the district meeting in Ba

Lovodua is a Year 10 student of Ba Methodist High School and is originally from Naraviravi Village in Ra.

Team manager says Lovodua’s father drove a bus from Ba with supporters to come and cheer for the team taking on Rewa today.

He says this is the first time the team has qualified for the semi final.

He adds in the past three years since joining the competition, they have only reached the quarter finals.

Ba will face Rewa at 9am at the HFC Bank Stadium, while Tavua will take on Macuata at 11am.
