At least 15 Palestinians — including eight children and two women — were killed in an Israeli airstrike outside a clinic in central Gaza.

BBC News says according to al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, the victims were queuing for nutritional supplements when the strike hit.

US-based aid group Project Hope, which runs the clinic, condemned the attack as a violation of international law.

Footage from the hospital, verified by BBC News, showed the bodies of several children and other victims lying on the floor as medics struggled to treat the wounded.

The Israeli military revealed that it targeted a Hamas militant involved in the October 7, 2023, attack on Israel and expressed regret over civilian harm.
