132 teams will be participating in the Crest Fiji Secondary Schools Netball Championship which will be held from the 28th to the 30th of this month.

While speaking at the event, Netball Fiji CEO Vivian Koster says this competition consists of all the grades from under 14 to under 19 and also the boys’ category.

Koster says this amounts to approximately 1,980 players participating in this event.

She says this is an opportunity for these young players to grow in this game and also provide opportunities for the ladies to become stronger.

The CEO says this is also a pathway for our young women to represent Fiji in the near future.

Goodman Fielder General Manager Tim Carter says children need to be given opportunities like this to be able to make it big in any sport.

Carter says they stay committed to supporting the development of sports in Fiji and to ensure that they will provide healthy, affordable and quality meals for athletes in Fiji.

The Secondary Schools Netball competition will be held at the LICI court in Suva.
