131 people issued with infringement notices for not wearing masks in public places

131 people were issued with public health infringement notices for not wearing masks in public places in the last three days.

263 public health infringement notices were issued in the last three days. This includes 62 notices for social gathering and 58 for breach of curfew.

Police say the Southern Division recorded the highest number of cases.

They say other bookings included failure to wear a mask while travelling in a public service vehicle, failure to comply with orders with regards to the consumption of liquor and kava and failure to comply with 50% passenger capacity in public service vehicles.
