Party’s General Secretary, Sila Balawa

The People’s Alliance Party has received 130 expressions of interest from people wanting to contest the upcoming general elections, including some former FijiFirst Party members.

This was revealed by the Party’s General Secretary, Sila Balawa, following the Party’s General Assembly today.

Balawa says they have been given the green light to begin processing the applications and will soon appoint a panel to conduct interviews.

He adds that members at the assembly also reaffirmed their full support for Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka heading into the 2026 election.

Balawa says the call for expressions of interest was open to everyone, including sitting MPs, and the selection process
