13 people, including 3 students, were arrested yesterday after they were found to be in possession of illicit drugs.

Fiji Police Force Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations Livai Driu says the three students were arrested from two different school premises.

He says they applaud the teachers, one of their stakeholders, who are assisting them in keeping everyone safe and will let the law take its course.

He says a separate school is being investigated after the school manager found smoking apparatus in their dining hall yesterday and reported the matter to Police.

ACP Driu says yesterday's arrests marked the first day of the Festive Seasons exercise, and more arrests are expected to continue.
