129 RFMF officers and ex-servicemen receive commemorative medals

President, Jioji Konrote presents the Fiji Military Forces, ex-servicemen and women with commemorative medals for Fiji’s 50th Anniversary.

129 officers of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces, ex-servicemen and women have been awarded with commemorative medals for Fiji’s 50th Anniversary of Independence by the President, Jioji Konrote for their contribution to Fiji’s development and progress in the past 50 years.

Some of the recipients include former Director of Immigration Nemani Vuniwaqa, Ned Taito, Timoci Natuva, Semi Mocelutu, Ilisoni Saladuadua, Lepani Damuni, Aseri Rokoura, Mosese Naivalu, Sairusi Degei and Avinish Kumar.

The ceremony was held at the Queen Elizabeth Barracks in Nabua.
