A 12-year-old girl in Belgium is thought to be the youngest victim in Europe of the coronavirus pandemic.

The girl had a fever for three days but her condition then worsened.

There have been more than 800,000 cases worldwide, with 38,000 dead; 170,000 have recovered.

In the US, three out of four people face some form of restriction.

The US has more than 175,000 confirmed virus cases and over 3,400 deaths.

It surpassed Italy last week as the country with the highest number of people suffering from COVID-19.
