12 people including 2 juveniles charged with 12 counts of sexual offences in September

12 people which include two juveniles, have been charged with 12 counts of sexual offences according to the statistics released for September this year.

There was one incident where a 16-year-old boy was charged with the rape of a 24-year-old woman while a 15-year-old boy was charged with the aiding and abetting of rape.

There are 8 counts of rape, 2 counts of aiding and abetting rape, 1 count of indecent assault and 1 count of sexual assault.

There were eight victims of whom two victims were under the age of 18 years.

The Office of the DPP says there were three incidents where the victims and the accused were related to one another.

A 53-year-old man was charged with one count of rape of his 4-year-old daughter.

A 27-year-old man was charged with the rape of his 28-year-old defacto partner. The accused person was also charged with the wrongful confinement, criminal intimidation and assault causing actual bodily harm.

A 35-year-old man was charged with the rape and assault causing actual bodily harm to his 26-year-old defacto partner, however, this matter was discontinued after the victim could not be located or contacted.

A 38-year-old man and a 21-year-old man were charged with the rape and aiding and abetting rape of a 21-year-old woman.

A 24-year-old man was charged with the rape of a 49-year-old woman.

Three matters were withdrawn due to insufficient evidence and after the victim could not be contacted or located.
