114 people have been issued Public Health Infringement Notices for breaching COVID-19 safety measures over the last 48-hour period.

Police say two Public Service Vehicle drivers were issued notices for not following 50% capacity while a Police officer in the Eastern Division was issued a notice for breaching isolation/quarantine protocol.

44 cases were of failure to wear a face mask.

15 notices were issued for breaching curfew orders whereby 11 were issued in the Western Division and four in the Southern Division including six for social gathering in the Western Division.

Police say three notices were issued in the Southern Division and two in the Northern Division for failing to wear a mask in a Public Service Vehicle.

From Thursday morning until this morning, 44 notices were issued whereby 35 were issued for failing to wear a face mask in a public space.

Police say Fijians can expect more stringent enforcement of COVID-19 safe measures and operations have been beefed up to ensure compliance.
