10 drunk drivers arrested on Christmas Day

Police arrested 10 drunk drivers yesterday as part of their Christmas Day operations.

Acting Director Traffic Senior Superintendent of Police Mitieli Divuana says the Western Division had six cases, Southern Division had two cases while the Central and Eastern Divisions had a case each.

SSP Divuana adds 149 drivers were charged for committing traffic offences including speeding while 108 drivers were charged for driving without a license.

He says a total of 875 vehicles were intercepted while 339 vehicles were inspected.

SSP Divuana adds the alleged drunk drivers will be produced in court in due time.
