The Vatukoula rugby side has sharpened its defense and scrum as they prepare to face Naitasiri tomorrow in the much-anticipated Farebrother Challenge.

Head Coach Emori Ratu told fijivillage Sports that he has been reminding the players to give their best, as it has been over eight years since Vatukoula last contested the prestigious Farebrother Cup.

He also highlighted that Vatukoula’s only previous challenges for the title were against Suva and Nadroga, making tomorrow’s clash a historic opportunity for the team.

Ratu says the players are eager to showcase their strength and determination, with hopes of making their mark in this year’s competition.

Meanwhile, Suva is leading with 29 points, followed by Naitasiri with 25 points, while Nadroga is third with 19 points.

Vatukoula will face Naitasiri at 3pm tomorrow at the HFC Bank Stadium.

In round 7 of the Skipper Cup, Suva will face Nadroga, Nadi meets Tailevu, Macuata will play Ba, and Lautoka will go up against Malolo.

All Skipper Cup matches will kick off at 3pm tomorrow.
