Will Smith has been brutally called out by his fans for allegedly using AI to make the crowds at his summer tour appear larger than they are.

The American actor and rapper kicked off his two-month summer tour in July and will conclude it in September.

Smith recently made an unexpected comeback into the music industry with the release of his first full-length album in 20 years.

Earlier this month, Smith posted a short clip on YouTube with the caption: “My favourite part of tour is seeing you all up close. Thank you for seeing me too.”

The video showed the rapper singing to a large crowd during a concert while fans cheered and stretched their hands towards him.

He walked up to them as he performed, shaking as many of their outstretched hands as he could.

Some fans were also seen holding up signs declaring their love and adoration for the rapper. One lady could be seen holding up her hands to make a heart at Smith as he performed, and two fans held up a sign saying that the rapper’s song got them through cancer.

Smith’s video didn’t receive the warm reaction the rapper expected, as fans were quick to call him out in the comments section for using AI-enhanced crowds.

One fan wrote, “Fake AI crowd, fake comments, bots like 21K likes for Will Smith?” and another asked, “Is that [an] AI crowd?”

Another fan slammed the Grammy Award winner, writing, “Imagine being this rich and famous and having to use AI footage of crowds and bot comments on your video. Tragic, man. You used to be cool.”
