Fiji 7s coach Osea Kolinisau

Fiji 7s coach Osea Kolinisau says their preparation is tracking well as they prepare for the Paris Olympics 2024.

Kolinisau says they were able to get what they needed out of their scrimmage sessions with the Australian 7s team earlier in the week.

He says they won’t be facing any Fiji teams so it was good to get a hit out with Australia before the Olympics.

The coach says he wanted to see how Swire Shipping Fijian Drua duo Selestino Ravutaumada, Iosefo Masi as well as France based Josaia Raisuqe performed against Australia.

There are currently 20 players in the extended training squad which Kolinisau says will be trimmed down to the 15 he will take to Paris this week.

The Olympics Rugby 7s will be held from the 25th to the 31st of July 2024.
