The weather was a let-down for the Waratahs in Lautoka last year, but they aim to stick to their system when they again take on the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua in similar humid conditions this afternoon.

Waratahs back-rower Langi Gleeson says they got found out a lot last year and are looking to improve this season.

Gleeson says the weather is always tough, whether it's rainy or sunny, and the Drua play well in those conditions, so it will be a tough one but they are up for it.

The back-rower, who has strong ties to Fiji, says he has a lot of family in Suva and expects to see many of them in Lautoka; even people he may not know he is related to.

The Drua play the Waratahs at 2.05pm today at Churchill Park, Lautoka.
