A woman and her family who were self-isolating in the Wainitarawau, Cunningham containment area are thankful for the assistance she has received after she reached out to fijivillage.

Sainiana Vania says she has received assistance from the Ministry of Economy, Fiji Muslim League and the Fiji Women’s Crisis Centre.

Vania says she, her husband, their 4 children and their aunt were asked not to leave their home and as a result were not able to get essential items in more than 14 days.

She says her family received groceries, diapers, money and other essential items.

Meanwhile the Fiji Police Force has lifted the checkpoints at the Wainitarawau Settlement today.

The Wainitarawau settlement was declared as a containment area after a 40-year-old woman tested positive for COVID-19 on the 21st of April.
