Veterans make up core of Fijiana 7s extended squad for Olympics

The Fijiana 7s extended training squad for the Paris Olympics 2024 has been named with veterans Raijieli Daveua, Ana Maria Naimasi, Alowesi Nakoci, Lavena Cavuru, Sesenieli Donu, Ilisapeci Delaiwau, and Laisani Likuceva leading the charge.

7s convert Kolora Lomani who debuted at the recent Madrid 7s has also made the cut.

Also named is speedster Younis Bese with Elenoa Naimata, Maria Rokotuisiga, Viniana Riwai, Meredani Qoro, Verenaisi Ditavutu, Mereoni Torooti, Maria Rokotuisiga,and Mere Navue.

The 20 member squad will later be trimmed down to the 15 that will be traveling for the Paris Olympics.

The Olympics Rugby 7s will be held from the 25th to the 31st of July 2024.
