Tabakaucoro and Vollmer looking at participating at next IAAF event in Auckland

Fiji’s top two athletes, Banuve Tabakaucoro and Eugene Vollmer are looking at participating at the next International Association of Athletics recognized event in Auckland, New Zealand on the 27th of this month.

The two are also looking at having training camps in Australia.

Tabakaucoro and Vollmer are vying for a wild card spot that is available to athletics for the Tokyo Olympics.

So far, the Fiji 7s teams and Sailing have booked their spot for the Olympics.

Swimming also has 2 spots available.

The cut off time for Fiji to confirm their athletes is 16th June however considering logistics, this date may be moved forward.
