Secondary Schools Football Competition: Labasa College ready to defend U15 title

As the highly anticipated Extra Fiji Secondary Schools Football Competition kicks off today, U15 defending champions Labasa College are ready to retain their title.

Labasa College coach, Roneel Ram highlighted to fijivillage Sports that they have prepared well and left no stone unturned in their preparations.

Ram says they left on Monday for the competition, which has given them enough time to rest and focus on the pool matches.

Labasa College is in Group B with DAV College, Tavua College, and Nadi Sangam College.

U15 Group A consists of AD Patel College, Labasa Muslim College, Vunimono High School, and Central College.

Labasa College will play DAV at 2.15pm at Xavier College Ground 5.

There are 20 girls teams who will be competing in the Girls Open Division.

The matches starting this hour include Vashist Muni College playing Vunimono High School in the Girls Open grade at Ba Sangam College Ground 6, Xavier College will play Korovuto College in the Girls Open grade at Xavier College Ground 5, Suva Muslim College will face Gurunanak Khalsa College in the Under-19 grade at Xavier College Ground 4, Baulevu High School will play Nadi Muslim College in the Under-19 grade at Xavier College Ground 3, Vashist Muni College will face Sigatoka Valley High School in the Under-19 grade at Fiji FA Academy Ground 2, while Ba Sangam College will take on Seaqaqa Central College in the Under-19 grade at Govind Park, Ba.

Meanwhile, a total of 104 games will be played over four days across six different playing grounds, with 56 teams participating.

The finals will be held on Saturday at Govind Park.
