Minister for Rural, Maritime Development and Disaster Management Inia Seruiratu.

Minister for Rural, Maritime Development and Disaster Management Inia Seruiratu says 32 schools in the Northern Division have been earmarked to be repaired by the RFMF and Australian Defence Force Engineers on board the HMAS Adelaide.

85 schools have suffered damages due to TC Yasa in the North and the Ministry of Education has completed all the detailed assessments on 75 schools.

Seruiratu says they are working together with the Education Ministry to meet the 18th January deadline.

He adds if they are not able to reach the deadline they have backup plans and the Ministry of Education will have to make a recommendation to government.
