No active COVID-19 case at CWM Hospital – Dr Fong

Permanent Secretary for Health, Doctor James Fong says there is no active case of COVID-19 at the CWM Hospital.

Doctor Fong says the precautionary measures in place at the CWM Hospital is for a non-COVID sick person.

He says when they have a medical referral and the case is unstable, the patient is admitted at CWM Hospital or Lautoka Hospital in quarantine conditions.

Doctor Fong says the quarantine conditions are created and maintained but they have specific protocols on how to treat the patient in these conditions.

He says the perception generated that there is an active COVID case and the hospital is under lockdown, is not correct.
