Lelean Memorial School students and supporters have allegedly been stoned by some students from a prominent school in Tailevu on their way back to Korovou.

While speaking to fijivillage News, Lelean Memorial School U16 Raluve coordinator, Losalini Nailevu says they were allegedly stoned after the semi-finals for the Vodafone Deans Eastern Zone Secondary Schools Rugby Competition at Dawasamu ground on Friday.

Nailevu alleges when they approached the school, they saw that a few boys were throwing stones at the bus ahead of them.

Nailevu says both the buses stopped and some in the bus decided to run after these boys but they had run away.

She also says a Year 11 student in the bus was injured from this incident and has been taken to the Korovou Hospital and has been discharged.

She says there has been some damage to the buses as well. Police are yet to respond to our questions.
