While we focus on everyone’s safety this Christmas, an increase in Police presence is expected in towns, roadsides, highways and even picnic spots.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations, Livai Driu says Police will be there to see people return safely to their homes by and have a safe and incident-free Christmas.

He says they will be on the road to see the flow of traffic and check for excessive passengers, alcohol level and documentation like drivers licenses.

The Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations is reminding road users that they need to adhere to safety measures while on the road and will continue to work around the clock for every Fijian's safety.
