People residing in Maritime Areas like the islands of Yasawa, Mamanuca groups, Kadavu, Viti Levu, and nearby smaller islands like Moala and Southern Lau Group should be vigilant as heavy rain warnings have been issued for these areas.
The National Disaster Management Office says flooding of businesses, and low-lie areas is expected and they are requesting all stakeholders to take all precautionary measures to ensure their safety.
NDMO says motorists should also exercise caution as heavy rain will lead to poor visibility on the road.
They say people who are residing in flood-prone areas listed should take precautionary measures when the need arise.
