Byrne says it was their first game back after a couple of weeks of training and thought they were a little bit loose around the breakdown.
The Flying Fijians coach says this is a great opportunity for them to work on that and present themselves in better shape for the next game.
Skipper Tevita Ikanivere thought their debutants were great and looking forward to their build up this week.

Fiji will play Samoa at 3pm this Saturday at Rotorua International Stadium.
In the other PNC game over the weekend, Canada beat USA 34-20.
